I’m looking at an eye-catching proposal that's being put to a referendum in Berlin on September 26th - whether to expropriate around quarter of a million rental properties from private companies.
The lessons of the DDR have not been learned. Who will pay to maintain these properties and where would the money come from if the rentals are required to pay off the massive debt to the taxpayer funded mortgage? A good article, thanks.
