Hi there,
The best way for me to grow my audience is through relying on the recommendations of my readers.
But, I get that you might not share an article even if you found it interesting - I’m exactly the same.
That’s why I want to offer you an incentive to do so. For the next couple of months, readers who share my articles regularly will get time-limited access to all my content (if you are already a member, this will be added onto the end of you membership).
This is purely experimental, so I might change the targets as time goes on. But if you share three times in a month you’ll get a week’s complimentary membership, if you share 10 times you’ll get a month’s membership.
You can share a single article on several platforms, so these should be fairly easy targets to achieve. You could even go back and find old newsletters you liked and share those. When sharing, if you could say something nice about the newsletter I’d be much obliged.
The platform I use - Substack - gives me some basic data on my articles including who is sharing them. So, at the end of the month I’ll take a look at the data and give people subscriptions accordingly.
In case anyone is confused, the share button is the arrow that appears both at the top and at the bottom of each email:
Best,
Jörg
So managed to get 3 links here - had to be word it right so it didn't get deleted by the mods, and another one in the r/munich

Anyways I would suggest unlocking your content for a time so people can check it out. Being asked for a credit card before you can even look is a big turn off.
