On Thursday, the Bundestag passed a new set of measures aimed at controlling the spread of the coronavirus this winter. Central aspects of the new law - in force until April - are mandatory masks on long-distance trains, masks and testing in care homes and hospitals, and the option of mask mandates in schools should “this be necessary to ensure normal classroom teaching."
