The Story

Last week, vice-Chancellor Robert Habeck was the butt of just about every joke in political Berlin.

Due to his rugged good looks and his off-the-cuff way of talking, Habeck is the closest thing German politics has to a celebrity. Up until very recently, he was the public's preferred choice to be their next Chancellor.
