Nord Stream suspect arrested — at the third time of asking
Germany has managed to get hold of one of the alleged central conspirators in the sabotage of the Nord Stream pipelines — at the third time of trying. Wolodymyr Z., an instructor at a diving school, was holidaying in Croatia when he was detained on an arrest warrant issued by Germany’s federal prosecution service. He really should have known better. Germany had already attempted to have him arrested twice when he was staying in Poland. But on each occasion he managed to get away, with Warsaw appearing indifferent at best to seeing him put on trial. Wolodymyr Z. was identified after he was found to have been caught by a speeding camera near the coastal resort the saboteurs set sail from.
