Hello! In your survey, you ask if German unemployment benefits are too generous, but it's not clear whether you are asking about the old system (Buergergeld), the new system (Grundsicherung) or Arbeitlosengeld I. Each of these might lead to a different response.
Thank you for clarifying that, Joerg. :-). Then I answered correctly stating that it (Buergergeld) is/was too generous. It might not be too generous for people who really can't work. But I know of perfectly young, healthy and able people who choose not to work because they want to spend their time doing other things and that is not fair to those who work and would also rather be doing other things.

You're right. It should say "current” referring to Bürgergeld. I suppose Arbeitslosengeld 1 is part of the overall package whatever the system
